When I was 42 I was diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and was prescribed Thyroxine and was on this medication for six years. During those six years I continued to battle with my weight, but no matter what I did, the scales just kept creeping up to over 80Kg. This was making me depressed and then other health issues started to occur.
